The Annual Meeting is the Chamber's largest event of the year. During this luncheon, chamber members come together to reflect on the past year by celebrating and awarding the outstanding success of our members. The event concludes with the passing of the gavel of our new Board Chair.
Business After Hours
This popular chamber event allows members to cultivate new business relationships in a relaxed setting. Individual businesses host the event and provide hors d’oeuveres, drinks, and door prizes for guests to enjoy. This event is held monthly, and in some cases twice a month, and is free for all members.
Business Over Breakfast
This quarterly event invites all community businesses to come together for breakfast and to hear from a featured speaker. Speakers cover a wide variety of topics designed to build awareness, foster understanding, and spark conversation. The Small Business of the Quarter is awarded at the end of the event.
Business/ Professional Development Seminars & Workshops
To provide our members with business and professional development opportunities, the Chamber hosts quarterly seminars and workshops that focus on either topics that can help improve businesses or discuss issues that affect businesses.
This program is coordinated as needed for local elections. Constituents are invited to experience a question and answer session.
The Chamber kicks off the holiday season with the annual parade. The parade is always the 1st Saturday of December at 10 a.m. and the route weaves through downtown Opelika.
This quarterly breakfast event brings Chamber members together to generate new business contacts. Chamber members are encouraged to share their leads to business and foster new relationships with other chamber members.
First Responders Breakfast
This annual breakfast is held every September to recognize and honor our community’s First Responders including Firefighters, Police and Law Enforcement, and Emergency and Medical personnel.
Grab your colleagues or clients and join the Chamber for a day full of networking and fun on the golf course. Our annual member golf tournament hosts morning and afternoon flights and provides numerous networking, marketing, and sponsorship opportunities.
This annual event is hosted by both the Opelika and Auburn Chambers of Commerce. Local, state and even national representatives of the area are invited to attend, and members are encouraged to get to know these representatives, discuss issues or concerns, and or thank the representatives.
Manufacturing Day is a celebration of modern manufacturing meant to inspire the next generation of manufacturers. This day typically includes a luncheon and a behind the scenes tour of one of our prestigious industries.
Member Christmas Reception
Ring in the holiday season with the Chamber Board of Directors and staff at our annual Christmas Reception. Enjoy plenty of local food, drinks, entertainment, and networking.
State of the City Address
Another chamber member favorite is this annual luncheon where the Opelika mayor gives a comprehensive update on the state of the City of Opelika.
Ribbon Cuttings are a special celebration for businesses who have just joined the chamber or for a member who just opened for business. This event is typically held on Tuesday at either 10 am or 4 pm and is a great opportunity for chamber members to network with chamber ambassadors, city officials, and friends. The Ribbon Cutting typically includes: a few words from the Chamber, business owner, and Mayor; the cutting of the ribbon and pictures; and a tour of the facility.
Women's Business Council
Women's Business Council (WBC) is a group that promotes the participation and leadership of women at all levels in the workplace, the community and in government. The goal of the WBC is to develop programs that provide opportunities for women to learn and network as well as share their expertise with each other and to address the unique issues of women in business.
