20 Under 40
Opelika’s 20 Under 40, a program of the Opelika Chamber of Commerce, is seeking 20 outstanding individuals under the age of 40 who live in Opelika, are passionate about the community, and have a vested interest in shaping the city’s future.
Purpose of Program:
The 20 Under 40 Program is designed to cultivate the next generation of community leaders by providing meaningful opportunities to learn, connect, and serve. The program’s purpose is to:
- Provide first-hand insight into the operations of city departments, local nonprofits, and major employers in Opelika while offering direct access to community and civic leaders.
- Foster civic awareness and engagement through meaningful discussions and hands-on involvement, including a class-led community service project.
- Encourage leadership development by offering professional growth opportunities through leadership training, networking, and résumé-building experiences.
